VIC: Student armed with knife barricaded in school room

A student armed with a knife has barricaded himself in a room at a secondary school
south-east of Melbourne.

A police spokeswoman says the incident occurred after a meeting with teachers early today
at the Rosebud Secondary College, on the Mornington Peninsula.

The student has barricaded himself in the room and is refusing to come out.

Police say details are sketchy, but it's definitely not a hostage situation.
