NSW:Inquiry into NSW Crime Commission =3

NSW Greens MP David Shoebridge earlier on Thursday renewed his party's calls for a
public inquiry into the NSW Crime Commission, amid concerns it was secretive and too powerful.

He welcomed the announcement of the commission of inquiry but said he had concerns
about how far reaching its powers would be.

"We have been asking for a full and open public inquiry," he told AAP.

"If the commission for inquiry has the power to compel witnesses and order the production
of documents, it will go some way to satisfying our call."
