Qld: Anti-whale protest targets Japanese

Anti-whaling protesters have demonstrated outside the Japanese consulate in Brisbane.

The group delivered a letter to the Japanese consulate at its Creek Street address
.. and then marched to the nearby Japan Air Lines offices.

The demonstrators want Australian consumers to boycott Japanese products and services.

They also want people to stop buying seafood products from the New Zealand-based Sealord
group .. which is half owned by Nissui .. a Japanese whaling company.

The group from Byron Bay in northern New South Wales says if the govrenment won't stop
whaling.. consumers must take the necessary steps.
